The proposals for the Land West of Oxford Road represent the opportunity for a well connected new neighbourhood for Oxford.
The Land West of Oxford Road is a proposed new neighbourhood on the former North Oxford Golf Club, located between Kidlington and Oxford Parkway Station. It features a landscape-led design that will provide much needed homes in one of Oxfordshire's most sustainable locations
The site is allocated for residential development in Cherwell District Council's Local Plan. Oxford University Development (OUD) is leading work on behalf of the three landowners, Exeter College, Merton College and Oxford University, to progress plans for this new neighbourhood.
Activity includes commissioning surveys, leading the design work, co-ordinating engagement, preparing the outline planning application and selecting a development partner following outline planning consent.

Currently in the development phase, the proposals could deliver up to 800 mixed-tenure homes, including 50% affordable housing, alongside new public open space, enhanced biodiversity and improved walking, cycling and public transport connections.
